Regression analyses are tests performed to assess the relationship between two or more variables. In bivariate regression analyses, one independent variable is used to explain or predict the outcome of the dependent variable. In multivariate regression analyses, two or more independent variables are used to explain or predict the outcome of the dependent variable.
